Copal Amber

You are buying all the pieces of Copal Amber in the photo.

Similar in appearance and chemical makeup to amber, but younger in age, copal is fossilized tree resin,
commonly between 1,000 and 10,000 years old.
When liquid, this aromatic and sticky sap attracted many types of insects, some of which became trapped.
It hasn't been searched for insects so some pieces may contain bugs!

Copal Amber is still used by a number of indigenous peoples of Mexico and Central America as an incense,
used during ceremonies such as the sweat lodge ceremony.
