| This is a Nummulite/Oceanic Stone Egg! Nummulites like this one come from a thick bed of limestone from the Eocene and Oligocene periods 55-34 million years ago. Nummulites were very small snail type animals made up internally of small chambers arranged in a spiral. The formation stretches from the Alps through Iran to China. It is the stone of which the Great Pyramids were built! This Nummulite originates from Pakistan. It is a very nice, highly polished Egg and has great detail and lots of fossils!
