This auction is for 2.01 carats of Cretaceous Era amber collected by myself in the Hell Creek Formation outside of Buffalo, South Dakota in June 2007. This amber was formed during the last days of the dinosaurs (65 million years ago). For people not familiar with North American amber, this amber is much smaller than what people are used to seeing. This amber is much older than the huge pieces you see with insects in them. In most cases, that amber is Baltic amber which is about 30-60 million years ago. Hell Creek amber is rare because it is difficult to find and harder to get permission to get to since it comes mostly from private lands. It tends to be a beautiful burnt orange color. It makes great display pieces, but is not suitable for jewelry.

We will ship anywhere in the world EXCEPT Malaysia, Argentina, Zimbabwe, & Chad.

Thanks for looking!!!
