This is a wonderful piece of columbian amber with a cockroach trapped within. There are also 80 small flies and a spider in this fossil. Makes a wonderful addition to any collection. Insects display fantastic preservation. Ancient conifer trees sap (resin) oozed from the tree, was buried and fossilized. Occassionally an insect was trapped in the sap while it was still fluid. A very small percentage of amber found contains insects.
