This is a Mosasaur Jaw and Tooth, set in a matrix for display purposes. Museums use matrix's as a form of display to best show their fossils. The Mosasaurs lived 96 to 66 million years ago during the late Cretaceous period. The Mosasaur was a sea creature some 60 feet long, with a large set of jaws. This example has one nice tooth with jaw  in a nice display matrix. This fossils would thrill any collector of any age. The matrix measures 5" x 3"'s and the matrix material is made from the soil of the area where it was found. The location of the original dig was Morraco.
