This is a VERY RARE find !! I've had it for about 10 years.  . This tusk tip is 6 1/4" and over an inch in diameter . It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. I think this is just for collecting...NOT Carving...It would make a GREAT knife handle. People always say mastadon ivory is the same as mammoth ivory it truly is different !! Look at the photo's. I added a figurine of a Mastadon & a Woolly Mammoth so you could see the difference (note the shape of the Mastadon tusks  much smaller  and straighter than a woolly mammoth).
