This is a great group of 15 small but rare fossil sharks teeth I collected in a cement company quarry (Blue Circle Quarry) in coastal South Carolina! They may be from a couple species of Scyliorhinus, Cat Sharks, or some may be from Palaeogaleus & possibly others. I would have said they are all Cat Shark teeth at one time, but I'm not sure now. These are all very good to excellent specimens & they represent a great deal of time searching through fossiliferous matrix. These species may be common in other Eocene localities, but they are certainly uncommon at this locality. The largest tooth measures just under 1/4" in length. They were found in Upper Eocene age deposits, in the Santee-Cooper Marl Formation Formation, in Dorchester County, South Carolina near Harleyville. Good luck!!!
