One item for sale. This complete Mosasaur tooth fossil is about 75 million years old. From the Cretaceous Period, this Mosasaur tooth rests in a solid sandstone rock matrix. This tooth fossil has complete enamel and includes the root of the tooth. This Mosasaur tooth is a fine fossil collectible!

Mosasaurs were extremely large marine reptiles. These prehistoric marine creatures were carnivores from "the age of the dinosaurs". These carnivorous creatures ruled the oceans like the dinosaurs ruled the land. Mosasaurs were not dinosaurs. These creatures were large carnivorous marine reptiles with gapping jaws and a powerful tail. The tail propelled these deadly creatures through the water. Mosasaurs ate sharks, large fish and other creatures. Mosasaurs lived in shallow seas and had a length of up to 30 feet. Some scientists say as large as 40 foot long. Like the dinosaurs, these fierce carnivorous reptiles died out in the late Cretaceous Period.
