The lagerstatte of Lebanon is full of well preserved fossil fish, sharks, plants, invertebrates, and occasionally reptiles. This piece is a nice Scombroclupea from Hakel, Lebanon. Age is middle Cretaceous, around 95 million years old.

This specimen is very interesting in that it could possibly be choking on something. There is the normal vertebrae column, but then there is a second string of vertebrae leading into the stomach area. It goes from the stomach area towards the skull and in/under it (see highlighted pic). The mouth appears to be open or chewing on something, unless it's the jaw detached. Bottom line is that I'm not sure if it's choking or not, but it's an interesting piece of an odd species, and you could have a possible aspiration piece really cheap.

The rest of the body is very well preserved, with nice body, spines, vertebrae, and skull.  There is also a baby starfish on this piece.

Fish measures 14 cm.

Matrix measures 19 x 8.5 cm

Great piece for any collection!

Since fossils are difficult to judge by pictures alone, I do offer a return policy, see below.
