up for bid is a nice Mioplosus Fish Fossil from the Green River Formation.  It dates back to the Eocene Period which was over 50 million years ago.

This is a great fossil.  The matrix around the fish is smooth and it has not been repaired and does not have any cracks.  The dark area on the belly are scales that you can see.  I tried to take a picture of this area but it doesnt pick up the individual scales.

Its matrix measures 8 x 17 inches.  

The fish measures 13 inches and the fossil is .75 inches thick.
